Infinite Practices, Few Basic Principles: How Seasoned Teachers Build Meaningful Yoga Classes That Hook Their Students
Limited Capacity seats available

With so much information available to teachers, it can seem overwhelming to create meaningful classes that feel like your own. You don’t have to rely solely on the formulas you learned in teacher training to get out of that teaching rut. Join The Art of Teaching Yoga mentors, Alexandria Crow, and Giselle Mari, for a full-day workshop for teachers that will demystify the process of creating classes that are effective and inspiring for you and your students.

By leading 30-minute practices leading to one pose, Alex and Giselle will show you that their different teaching styles have similar and basic common principles. Through in-depth group discussions and workshopping your questions throughout the day, you’ll discover how to apply these principles to design solid sequences, understand how to offer verbal cues and hands-on assists, handle injury prevention and management, and integrate philosophy more fully. Don’t miss this opportunity to simplify and unpack the process of developing your unique teaching style and creating balanced classes that keep students coming back to learn more.

**This class has been approved by American Council on Exercise (ACE) for CECs.**

Detox and Renew
Limited Capacity seats available

Every January, for the New Year, there is an opportunity to let go of the old and bring in the new. This class is about both physically detoxing the body, as well as the mind and heart, letting go of old patterns and beliefs, and creating space for new creativity to enter in, while setting intentions and clearing a new pathway towards heart-filled purpose. The yoga sequences in this workshop will utilize three internal components for cleansing-abdominal compression, decompression and twists, and will include Sun Salutations A and B, detox standing sequences, inverted poses, breathing exercises and a restorative cool down. This intensive is designed to help us identity, reconcile and heal restrictive emotional patterns and physical imbalances in our mind/body. It is for all levels, but will be challenging, provocative and create heat. Some discussion/mostly asana.

The Art and Science of iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation: For Health, Healing, Resiliency, and Well-Being
Limited Capacity seats available

Join Richard Miller for this interactive workshop, where he shares the principles and practices that underlie the Integrative Restoration - iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation protocol that he’s developed over the past 46 years, which will expose you to a tapestry of tools that you can interweave into your personal or professional practices of hatha yoga, pranayama and meditation, as well as into your daily activities, relationships, or therapeutic-oriented work with students or clients.

iRest Meditation is a research-proven meditation protocol that is being used worldwide to relieve stress, nourish deep relaxation, restore vibrant health, sound sleep and resiliency, heal trauma and physical and mental issues, recover well-being, as well as to awaken to our underlying essential undivided wholeness with all of life. Grounded in over 25 research studies, the US Army Surgeon General and the Defense Centers of Excellence have recognized iRest as a Complimentary Alternative Program for healing chronic pain and PTSD, and restoring resiliency and well-being. iRest is making substantial contributions to the recovery of wounded veterans, and is now being taught in over 60 VA and Department of Defense sites in the US. With over 2500 trained practitioners, iRest is being taught at hospitals, clinics, and yoga centers worldwide. iRest offers a veritable 'Google-Map' for those traversing the complex road of health, healing, well-being, and awakening.

Through interactive dialogue and in-depth guided iRest meditations, Richard shares how this approach to meditation, health, and healing unfolds in distinct phases along a 38-step map of meditation drawn from the ancient teachings of Samkhya-Patañjali, Advaita, and Kashmir Nondual Yoga that incorporates three levels of mindfulness, seven core principles, and ten key practices. Richard will address current research on the neuroscience of meditation that underscores iRest. Class handout includes the map of meditation, foundational principles and practices, and resources for continuing your ongoing practice and learning.
