Breath Rx: An Invigorating and Healing Practice
Limited Capacity filling up

The breath is intimately connected to our ability to create a more therapeutic practice and can be tapped into in any practice.  In this class we will look at the anatomy of the breath and how to apply that to a practice that creates a more nourishing effect on the body. This class will begin with a brief overview of the anatomy of the breath then slowly transition through a breath centric practice designed to help you tap into the breath in a way that you can utilize anytime you like, on or off your mat. The flow portion of this class will incorporate different pranayama practices into a deeply therapeutic flow to help create a calm sense of invigoration in the body. Most important you will gain an understanding & experience of the breath that you can tap back into on your own anytime you remember.  Open to all levels with some vinyasa experience.

**This class has been approved by American Council on Exercise (ACE) for CECs.**

Hip-Opening: slow and deep

all levels

Something extraordinary happens when we do hip openers!  Whether we are stiff or open, the practice of hip openers produces deep feelings of release and relief. In this class, we will work progressively through a sequence designed to dissolve tension in the hips, while building a solid understanding of how to open the hips safely so that our knees consistently benefit. We will identify specific actions in standing, supine, and seated poses that will bring relief and ease to our pelvis and hip area. Be prepared to go deep, but don’t worry! We will also explore several variations and modifications that will ensure your continued progress.
